As Sally's URI worsened, she stopped eating and grew thin and weak. We worried that we couldn't hand-feed her enough to keep her alive.
Then she just decided she was going to make it, even if she still couldn't eat. When we put out some formula for it, she lapped it up. For several days, she repeated the process, lapping up whatever it took to preserve her strength, while she waited for her congestion to clear up.
It eventually did, and she resumed eating wet food, and regained weight…
