Scottie

Litter number: 30
Kitten number: 120
Gender: m
Color: orange tabby

Siblings: Samoa, Savannah, Chief, Scout

one of the five tiny flea-infested Campers kittens who were abandoned in a cardboard beer-suitcase at a girl scout camp when they were only a few days old. Scottie was one of the bigger siblings on day one, but he got diarrhea and lost weight almost immediately. While his siblings were enthusiastic bottle-feeders, Scottie had a hard time getting suction, so it took forever to feed him. For a while his limbs looked too skinny, his head too small, and his abdomen too swollen.

But unlike his orange predecessor Regis, Scottie slowly recovered. By the time we transferred the Campers from the nursery to the villa, he was back to full-speed, and loved to wrestle with Samoa. By graduation day, he was a completely healthy, great-looking, human-foot-chewing and face-nuzzling super-kitten. He and Savannah went home together, the last of the Campers to leave 50K
