the smallest (and ultimately cutest) of the Campers kittens, Scout had us fooled on her gender during her first few weeks at 50K. We changed our minds at least three times before it became obvious to us that Scout was a girl. While Scout was clearly the smallest of the Campers kittens from day 1, she was also one of the most consistently healthy. Unlike Scottie and Samoa, Scout was always squeaky-clean, and she consistently ate well and held onto her weight gains.

Like Samoa, Scout became a first-class face-nuzzler during her tenure in the 50K villa. She also became a budding hair-sylist; when Martha or any villa visitor with long hair sat back on the futon, Scout would climb the back-rest until she could run her paws through people hair. When she got tired of that, she would chew on it instead.
