Tamara came with her three brothers and mom, Georgia Anne. All were terribly sick with respiratory infections, except Tamara. While her brothers died one by one, and we force-fed her mother, Tamara never showed any sign of illness. She was one of the most beautiful kittens we’ve ever had – a dilute torbie – gray with tawny tortie highlights, but also some tabby markings.

Like other only children, Tamara could be a little bratty and demanding, but that changed when we introduced her and her mother to four orphans who needed a nursing mom. At first, Tamara didn’t know what to make of these little Rally Caps, but soon she was teaching them to play and wrestle, even though they were only half her size. She was a good big sis.
