Siblings: Clyde

came to 50K along with her brother Clyde from the Prince George's County shelter as a gorgeous, friendly, and apparently healthy 8-week-old kitten. She and Clyde both tested negative for FeLV, FIV, and heartworm.

But Bonnie and Clyde both started vomiting soon after we set them up in the nursery, and a day or two later Bonnie stopped eating. We syringe-fed her every few hours and worried about possible pneumonia as she lost weight and became lethargic. Fortunately she never really resisted our attempts to feed her. Her weight leveled off, and after five days we saw her toddle up to the food dish and start nibbling. The next day she was eating normally on her own again, and a week later she'd regained her lost weight.

When Bonnie, Clyde, and the Sluggers had all overcome the virus, we put B and C in the villa. Cruz and Willow stopped hissing at them a few days before Bonnie and Clyde went home together.
