Harley was the most feral in her litter, and as her brothers came around to the friendly side, Harley remained elusively skittish, although we tried to bribe her with tasty tuna and other treats. After a few weeks on her own, isolated from other cats, she slowly started to warm up. She was one of the most playful kittens we ever had, and she could usually be coaxed out of hiding by dangling the fleecy string. She loved being petted and became quite the purrer. She also had very sleek black fur and a cute soul patch on her white chin. She’ll probably always be a bit shy, but when she left us, we felt confident that she would be a loyal companion.
