Ry was the alpha kitten of the Dominos litter a little bigger, faster and stronger than his brothers Keddy and Lefty. His black and white markings were almost indistinguishable from those of his sibs, but he had just a little more white on his breast than the others. Early on, we identified Ry by looking for and not finding Keddy's distinguishing white paw tips or the extended white patch on Lefty's back left paw.
Like the rest of the Dominos, Ry had URI symptoms when he arrived at 50K. We treated him with Clavamox to keep his URI in check. He lost his appetite once or twice, but not long enough to stunt his growth, and he turned into a champion wrestler and gymnast. All four Dominos were precocious climbers and loved to race around the 50K playground.
During his last week with us, Ry began to jump up on the bed to nuzzle against my hip, then flip onto his back and relax while his siblings wrestled each other. That's how I'll remember him.
