The alpha kitten of our first litter of bottle babies. Billie was the first kitten we fostered who demonstrated the trick of "getting suction" on a nipple, which dramatically accelerates the feeding process. At 2am – with two kits for each of us to feed – suction is a really good thing.
Like Marco, Billie (originally Billy) was presented to us as a male, but turned out to be female. After Billie, we learned to disregard the gender labels on our fosterlings and figure out how to tell the difference ourselves.
